About Cheyenne

Cheyenne is a qualified Primary School Teacher from Ireland. She worked as a mainstream class teacher in Ireland before moving to Melbourne, Australia in August 2019. She worked as a Casual Relief Teacher for 3 months before taking up a full-time position as a Specialist Teacher in an IB PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program) accredited school. She taught Physical Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and French. During her time in that school, she was also Leader of the Wellbeing Team.

Cheyenne is a vibrant, dynamic and reflective teacher. She aims to inspire, engage and support students to achieve their full potential. From her experience in a range of curriculum areas, she is proficient in the diverse learning styles of students and adaptive to their individual needs. Cheyenne is committed to creating a positive, stimulating and purposeful learning environment. She guides students to construct new and deeper meaning from their current level of understanding. She utilises a variety of visual, concrete and interactive learning materials in her teaching. She is highly passionate about the physical, academic, social and emotional wellbeing of students.
